LAMPOON MAGAZINE
I contributed to Lampoon Magazine’s digital platform as part of its ongoing exploration of culture, sustainability, and contemporary thinking. Lampoon magazine explores the intersections of fashion, design, architecture, science, and creativity with a singular belief that culture is built on tolerance, curiosity, and collective responsibility.
My writing formed part of a series that examined how design, craft, and innovation can respond to the changing values of our time. Through these features, I explored brands that merge aesthetics with intention highlighting how sustainability is not a trend, but a way of thinking, making, and living.
From concept stores in São Paulo to perfumeries in Mexico City, London, and Paris, my work focused on storytelling that connects place, process, and purpose. Each piece sought to capture the dialogue between heritage and modernity, creativity and responsibility, tradition and reinvention.

“The idea was to provoke through images, a Brazilian who does not know their Brazil. We will be able to represent a country when we recognize and respect our diversity – cultural, racial and religious”
“Mexico has no legacy of luxury-perfumes that celebrate the abundance of ingredients derived from nature. It is with this desire to discover, document and celebrate Mexico’s botanical bounty that Xinú was born. Plants do not recognize borders. They are created by human beings which is why it is of importance to celebrate the plants and flowers across the Americas and create an olfactory catalogue that pays homage to the botanical heritage of the region.”
“For me sustainability is working with natural materials, local women, and artisan-led businesses. Sustainability for me is paying people on time and ensuring their businesses are running. it is about ensuring that you are building a community of individuals who are gratified to work with you”
“The naturals are the souls of my creations. My selection process at the beginning of an idea is of importance and that is what I am famous for. I am minimal, I do not clutter, I let my ingredients breathe. These materials used need to be enhanced and put together to sing on your skin”
“I draw from the fragility of the human experience. The emotions evoked in us through our actions, reactions, and how we interact with one another has led me to understand how fragile we are and I find that clay allows me to communicate that”
